What you will learn
Break an AI answer into checkable claims and verify the important ones using reliable independent sources.
Before you start
- Choose an AI answer containing at least one factual claim.
- Open a web browser or another trusted source of information.
- Avoid medical, legal or financial decisions while practising.
Step 1Identify the claims
Separate factual statements from suggestions, opinions and writing style.
Step 2Decide what matters most
Check claims that affect safety, money, health or an important decision first.
Step 3Look for original sources
Find official records, complete documents or direct statements where possible.
Step 4Compare independent sources
Confirm that sources are not simply repeating the same unsupported claim.
Step 5Record what remains uncertain
State what you could not verify instead of treating a plausible answer as proven.
